Here's the latest, according to the Van Halen News Desk:

Next Tuesday (January 3rd), the dates and venues for Van Halen's recently announced upcoming tour will be revealed.

And as previously reported, tickets will go on sale January 10th.

That same day, the new VH single and accompanying video from the new album will be released.

The album itself is due out February 7th.

It's been rumoured that the new collection would be titled The Future, but it now appears that is not the case: the band has posted the above image of a train, the Van Halen logo and the release date online, but the record's actual name remains a secret for now.

Whew: when it rains it pours with these boys. Will the album be a return to form or will Eddie want to venture into some odd direction? How will David Lee Roth's voice (which purportedly Edward was quite concerned with at one point) hold up?

What will the live set lists be like? Will they acknowledge anything post 5150 besides the new album?

Stay tuned to The LOON!
