Oh yes, the 80s. It was probably the most popular decade in the history of rock music. I wish I would’ve been born sooner so I could’ve experienced it for myself. The majority of the most famous rock groups became prominent in that time – Van Halen, Aerosmith, Rush, AC/DC (with Brian Johnson) Journey, Def Leppard, and countless others.

Of course, it’s nearly impossible to talk about the golden era of rock without mentioning the one and only – Motley Crue. I’ll be honest, they aren’t exactly my favorite group ever, but I do know a lot of people who are die hard fans.

If you or someone you know happens to be such a fan, you should be pretty thrilled to hear that they have announced that they will be recording four new songs that are supposed to be released this year.

This is the closest the band will ever get to a true reunion, being that they signed a contract preventing anyone in the group from touring under the name “Motley Crue” after 2015. Despite the fact that you’re not likely to see them in a live setting from this point on, at least you have some new music to look forward to.
