The CEO of My Pillow, Mike Lindell has been sued by Dominion Voting Systems for defamation. They are seeking over $1.3 billion in damages in a compliant filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Mike Lindell has been an ally to former President Donald Trump and supported claims regarding election fraud.  In the complaint Dominion Voting Systems argues that Lindell exploited false claims about election fraud to boost his sales including using promo codes like "Fight For Trump" and "QAnon" which allegedly brought an increase in sales.

According to the New York Times, Lindell welcomes the fight saying he's ready to go to court and he has all the evidence anyone would want to see. He also adds that he would not risk everything if he wasn't 100 percent being truthful.

Dominion Voting Systems believes that they will prove in the lawsuit that there is no evidence of the election being stolen. Dominion also has said they previously informed Lindell that their employees were receiving death threats because of his lies, and also tried to inform him of facts.

In January, Lindell told the New York Times that  he wanted Dominion to sue him so the evidence would come out.

Mike Lindell has faced backlash after his election fraud claims including having his products pulled from multiple stores. Twitter permanently banned his account because of misinformation.

Lindell has shown an interest in politics and has befriended Donald Trump. There is even speculation that Lindell may run for office, perhaps including a run at Minnesota Governor.
