Neil Peart Passes Away At Age 67 Due To Brain Cancer

As a die hard fan of progressive rock music, and as a life long fan of Rush, it is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of one of rock's most influential drummers, the one and only - Neil Peart.

Yes, you heard right, the virtuoso musician has left us prematurely at the age of 67. Apparently he had succumbed to terminal brain cancer. He passed away yesterday (January 7th, 2020.)

He retired in 2015 when Rush finished up their farewell tour in order to spend more time with his family. I certainly hope that his last few years away from the kit were everything that he wanted them to be.

In honor of Mr. Peart, I am definitely going to be jamming Rush's Moving Pictures album all weekend long. We just lost one of the all time greats. Rest in peace Neil, your music will live forever.
