Bruce Springsteen memorabilia is headed to a new permanent collection in his home state of New Jersey and it's being billed as "the perfect location for this outstanding collection".

Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey will house an extensive archive of memorabilia from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. And when they said "extensive" they weren't kidding.

Exhibit goers can see 15 thousand documents from 44 countries. The display goes back to the beginning of his 40 plus year career. Monmouth's President Paul Gaffney says that both students and staff will "benefit greatly from having access to these documents" and he adds that he hopes it will also "serve as a valuable resource for members of the academic community."

The archives had been put on display at the library in Springsteen's home town of Asbury Park, but Monmouth has a larger space to use which will allow for an expansion to include films and recordings.

Here's the best part: The exhibit isn't just for people who attend the school. It will be open to the public. The Springsteen Special Collection is slated to open November 1.
