Local Oktoberfest Events Happening Soon

This time of year is really my favorite. The blistering heat and humidity are gone. Mostly the humidity. And we haven't entered into the super cold time yet. It's Fall, and as soon as the leaves start turning, it's the prettiest time of year.

Also, there are generally a bunch of Oktoberfest celebrations going on around the area. Time to get together, have an Oktoberfest beer, play some hammerschlagen, hold a beer stein, eat some great big pretzels and stand around a firepit. Fun fun!

Here are some of the Oktoberfest celebrations that have been announced so far:

OKTOBERFEST AT BEAVER ISLAND IN ST. CLOUD

Beaver Island's Oktoberfest is happening THIS weekend on Saturday, September 19th!

Time is from Noon until 10pm with lots of fun activities including some German themed live music, a beer stein hoisting contest, hammerschlagen, been bag tournament where you could win beer for a year! There will also be the tapping of their Oktoberfest beer, some German food and just a lot of fun! See you Saturday!

ROCKTOBERFEST IN ST JOSEPH

The last weekend in September has a tradition, and that tradition is continuing this year! September 26th! This event is geared towards adults, but kids can join in the fun the night before, on the 25th for Kidtoberfest!

Rocktoberfest happens on Saturday the 26th starting at 7:30pm. The location is St. Joe in the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot. They also will have live music featuring the The Bavarian Musikmeisters and Gen X Jukebox.

You can get your tickets through the Rocktoberfest website, including a VIP package that is available, might really be worth it!

This is what you get with the pre-sale that ends on the 25th of this month. So you can get the presale discount basically up until the day before the event.

OKTOBERFEST AT BLACKBERRY RIDGE GOLF COURSE

Sunday, October 4th from Noon to 8pm.

OKTOBERFEST AT THE ST. CLOUD EAGLES AERIE 622

Saturday, October 10th from 5pm to 10pm

Live music by the local band Pandemic, food trucks, and special drink pricing. This event is open to the public (21+), and tickets are available at the St. Cloud Eagles Club

FLANNEL FEST AT THE LEDGE IN WAITE PARK

This event is now in it's 5th year, and every year it gets better and better. This year it's scheduled for Saturday, the 3rd of October. It starts at 2pm and goes until 7pm. There is live music with Tammy Jo Music and then with the Church of Cash. Wrap up the day with Mason Dixon Line with their tribute to John Fogerty & CCR - Born on the Bayou.

There will also be a bunch of beverage sampling with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. You can enter some contests too if you would like. Those contests include a best beard, best dressed, men's stein holding and women's stein holding.
