Outdoor Family Fun This Saturday On The Mississippi

A world of fun and adventure awaits you and your family on the Mississippi River this Saturday (8/1) from 10 AM to 4 PM near Rice. So put on your sunscreen, grab a bottle of water, and share a day of outdoor family fun, activities, presentations, and more -- at the Stearns County Mississippi River Park.

You'll have fun getting re-connected to our natural world by taking part in this day long sampler of free outdoor recreational opportunities: as kids learn to cast and fish from shore, learn to paddle a canoe and travel down the Mississippi, ride a pontoon and watch DNR demonstrate fish survey (electrofishing) techniques.

Test your aim at the Jakes Aim Range, try your hand at archery, build a birdhouse and take it home, find out about the water in our world, take a nature walk…and more!

Where: Stearns County Mississippi River Park - 41300 County Road 1, Rice MN 56367 (seven miles North of Sartell).
When: Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Cost: FREE- Equipment provided - NO experience necessary.
