A new special starring Paul McCartney is set to air on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Who else will star, what will the special cover and why McCartney?

Most of us can remember exactly where were were and what we were doing the morning of September 11, 2001.

Sir Paul McCartney was on a plane that was scheduled to take off from New York. His flight was grounded due to what was happening so he took to the streets to witness the devastation first hand.

A special entitled The Love We Make will focus on McCartney's personal ties to the attacks and his role in planning The Concert for New York City that took place less than six weeks later. It will also star Billy Joel, Elton John, Eric Clapton and David Bowie. The Love We Make is slated to air on Showtime September 10th at 8pm Central time.
