Travel is one of those things that has definitely picked up within the last couple of years again since the pandemic when it was at an all-time low.  Understandably.  Now, with people concerned about financial issues, travel plans have started to decrease a bit. This has prompted a few major airlines such as United and Delta to reduce some of their flights.

Now, according to the Thrifty Traveler, Delta is adding a few direct flights for next Winter/Spring to some warm destinations.

How about a trip to the Bahamas?  That sounds like a great idea right after the holidays and before it gets super crazy with vacation travel.  This is one of the flights that Delta has added from Minneapolis.

So, those flights are a bit more specific than some other destinations might be.  You have to leave on a Saturday.  That is one of the more busy travel days, but it might be worth it if you can get a great deal on a trip to the Bahamas. I don't know about you, but that sounds pretty amazing compared to January in Minnesota.

If you have Delta Skymiles, apparently there are even more options for you to use your points/miles on some other warm destinations as well as partnering with some of Delta's partners.

...visit some of the coolest islands of the Caribbean this coming winter. Plus, we often see these new routes are bookable for even fewer points by turning to some of Delta's partner airlines like Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points.

Sounds like a great time to plan for next Winter/Spring vacations.
