He was the man that many people thought would live forever. But sadly, even icons fall. Hugh Hefner, the creator of Playboy magazine, has passed away tonight (Wednesday, September 27th) at the age of 91.

It's been reported that Hefner died in his home in Los Angeles of natural causes while being surrounded by his family.

The media tycoon started up Playboy magazine back in 1953 in his apartment, with the first issue including a nude pinup shot of iconic actress Marilyn Monroe. Sending our thoughts and prayers to Hefner wife, Crystal, his sons, Cooper, David and Marston, and his daughter, Christie.
