Police: Man Fights Off Robbery Attempt, Chases Suspect [VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police are investigating a reported robbery attempt.

A 26-year-old man approached officers just after 10:00 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of East St. Germain Street. He said he was approached by a black man who threatened him with a handgun, and tried to restrain him.

The suspect also told the victim he was an 'undercover cop'.

The victim was able to fight off the suspect, and chased him toward Cloverleaf Trailer Park.

Officers conducted a search of the area with a police dog and found several pieces of evidence, but did not find the suspect.

The victim did not require medical attention.
