ST. CLOUD - Young musicians in the St. Cloud metro area will soon have a place to go to work on their craft. A new non-profit organization has been formed called the "Independent Music Collaborative Of Central Minnesota".

Spokeswoman Heidi Jeub says a group of music enthusiasts wanted to create a space for musicians to hang out.

We're looking to have a space that maybe we can have a small stage and a place for people to give feedback. Kind of like a rehearsal space I guess.  But we want it to be accessible to everybody.

Jeub says they're not ready to announce the specific location yet, but it will be in downtown St. Cloud.

She says it will be especially helpful for artists under 21 years old, who can't play in the typical bars and restaurants around town.
