Unfortunately, the days of rock bands being the focal point of modern entertainment are pretty much over. Back in the day, rock bands were everywhere. The driving forces of the time were Zeppelin, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Sabbath, and The Who.

Another name that comes to mind that belongs on that list is Quiet Riot. These guys always had the reputation of being a "musician's" band. And for good reason. James Durbin's soaring vocals and Alex Grossi's guitar riffs made for a one of a kind combination. The band has had it’s fair share of breakups re-unions over the years, but they’re finally back on the road again.

Although it's been quite a while since the band has released any new music, I'm thankful that they're at least still touring. Quiet Riot will be coming to Minnesota – playing the Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater on Saturday, September 21st at 6:25 pm as part of Grand Rocktober Fest. Tickets are available online now.
