The former lead singer of Atlanta Rhythm Section has died of a heart attack at the age of 60.

Ronnie Hammond was with ARS from 1972-1982, left and then returned for another stint from 1988-1999. He was a skilled musician and had a great singing voice. Ronnie died Tuesday of a heart attack at a hospital in Forsyth, Georgia. This track was quite a departure from some of their others, but I have always loved it. It reminds me of my mom. And it's best when played loud.
