Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr turns 74 today and he's celebrating with fans in Los Angeles.

The late 60's were all about the "peace and love" movement, but just because we're a few decades on from it, doesn't mean that Ringo Starr has forgotten.

Ringo is marking his 74th birthday outside the Capitol Records building in Los Angeles at noon Pacific time with a "peace and love movement". He's also asking his fans all over the world to mark the moment with him where ever they may be.

Ringo is currently out on tour with the latest incarnation of his All Starr Band, but they are off today.
