Anytime I can save some money on something that I might be purchasing anyway is always a win.  And when it's also something that will make my life at an event easier I'm definitely on board.

OKTOBERFEST/ROCKTOBERFEST

The end of September is the time when there are a bunch of Oktoberfest celebrations.  They are always a good time with several themed contests and activities.

St. Joe does their own version of Oktoberfest with Rocktoberfest.  This is a fun event that has been going on for a few years.  It's possibly more music focused compared to some of the other Oktoberfest celebrations around the area. If you can do it, it's fun to go to a few of them. The date is September 27th from 2pm to 11pm.

PRE-SALE VIP TICKETS

This year Rocktoberfest is offering discounts on the VIP tickets.  You can purchase a regular admission ticket for about $12.  Or, you can do the VIP route that is significantly more expensive, but there are some definite perks.

  • 20% off the $75 gate price* (pay just $60)
  • Includes admission
  • Fast lane entrance check-in
  • 2 complimentary alcoholic beverages
  • Fast lanes for food trucks and bar service
  • VIPee luxury restrooms
(climate controlled, flushing & running water)
  • Souvenir VIP Badge (to flex your status!)

There is no extra ticket fees, but there will be a 3% credit card fee, and that is for whatever ticket you purchase.

I can tell you from personal experience that the fast lane is worth it's weight in gold.  The wait time can get very lenghy for some food and sometimes the beverages too.  They do everything they can to move the lines along, but the fast lane would really be worth it.
