Rox Roll Over Stingers Sunday

The St. Cloud Rox beat the Willmar Stingers 9-0 Sunday evening at Joe Faber Field. The Rox improve to 10-3 on the season with the win.

St. Cloud jumped all over Stingers starter Jake Rothwell, scoring six runs in the bottom of the first inning and tuning him up for eight runs total in five innings. Rox starter Jack Cushing pitched seven scoreless innings and has now pitched 18 innings this season without allowing a run.

Offensively, Michael Busch led St. Cloud with a pair of home runs and five runs batted in.

The Rox begin a five-game road trip Monday night with a game at Willmar. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 on our sister station 1390 Granite City Sports.
