SAUK RAPIDS -- A Sauk Rapids man faces felony charges for allegedly selling LSD and other drugs.

42-year-old Russell Schaefer was arrested back on May 8th in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo Bank in Sauk Rapids.

According to the criminal complaint investigators saw Schaefer leave his apartment at 209 Third Avenue North, and enter his car carrying two bags.

While searching his vehicle officers says the found several bags containing different drugs. Inside the bags were about 160 grams of marijuana, 8.6 grams of marijuana wax, 88 doses believed to be LSD or acid strips, 18 Oxycodone pills, Trazodone pills and other drug paraphernalia.

Later that day, officers used a search warrant at Schaefer's apartment and found about 20 doses of LSD, additional marijuana and other drugs inside.

Schaefer faces one count of second degree possession of a controlled substance and one count of fourth degree possession of controlled substance. If found guilty, Schaefer could face 40 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
