The #4 St. Cloud State Men's Hockey team (18-6-3) defeated Miami University (10-14-3) 5-2 last night in Oxford, Ohio. The win was the Huskies fourth in a row -- earning SCSU a tie with Denver for first place in the NCHC at 37 points.

The Huskies jumped on the Redhawks early, with first period goals from Robby Jackson (13), Blake Lizotte (5), and Mikey Eyssimont (12), leaving the Huskies up 3-0 after one. Miami staged a second period comeback, scoring a pair of goals -- leaving things at 3-2 entering the third.

SCSU took back control in the third period on a goal by Kevin Fitzgerald (5), before Robby Jackson (14) got his second of the night to close things out with an empty-netter.

The Huskies outshot the Redhawks 30 to 28.
