The slowpoke law- we've been hearing about this for quite awhile now.  It was brought up when Jesse Ventura was still the governor.  Finally (finally as far as I'm concerned) it is going to go into effect as of August 1st with fines if you are caught not moving over when someone is trying to pass.

I have heard some opposition to this law.  People stating that it's a waste of time for the police to issue citations for this, or everyone hast he "right" to travel in whatever lane they want to as long as they are going the speed limit.  I even heard someone say that they hang out over there to make sure people don't speed.  Good Grief!  That isn't your job.  Wow.

Anyway, this law will go into effect August 1st along with a $50 fine, and a $75 surcharge.  So, basically it's a $125 fine.

It's about time.
