Smoke Menthol Cigarettes? A Ban Could Be Coming
Smoking in general has been a topic of conversation for a few years now. There has been a big push to get rid of smoking- anything. It's unhealthy and that is what most people want now is to be healthy, in every way.
There have been a few ways that smoking has been discouraged. It's been removed from most public places, there's a huge tax on cigarettes, and a crack down on vaping as well.
Now, there's a push from the FDA and the Biden Administration to remove flavors from all cigarettes, which includes menthol, and cigars.
The hope is to have this ban in place within a year. They would do it immediately, but this needs to legally go through a public comment period. That should be fun.

How many people in the US smoke menthol cigarettes? Apparently about a third of all smokers smoke menthols. Studies have shown that if you are a young person, and exposed to smoking, you are more likely to start if you try a menthol than a regular cigarette. Frankly, they just taste better, so it's easier to get hooked on a "minty" tasting cigarette than one that isn't flavored. So the hope is that it will deter more people by taking the flavor away.
Some believe that his will never happen... I guess we will see within the next year if it does or not.
