It's been about two years since I was introduced to the online/streaming stand-up comedy showcase called Kill Tony. Comedians from all walks of life and levels of experience get a minute to showcase their best stuff in an effort to be discovered and or featured on the show. One recent comedian on the show, who calls St. Cloud home, made the most of his 60+ seconds with the 'red' mic.

Yo, Adrian! Adrian Washington Goes On Kill Tony!

Adrian Washington, a local comedian who has been both a headliner and opener across the country for years, got the call many contemporary comedians want. He was brought on stage at this week's Kill Tony event and made the most of this time with the mic.

Here is his set, but please be advised that it features 'adult' language, so if you're in the office or you've got kids around, slip on some earbuds before hitting play.

Personally, I loved his jokes about his nieces and nephews as I have a nickname for mine, and I don't always remember to use their real names when we are out together, which can often be a little embarrassing for either them or me, depending on what we are doing.

Recently Up For A Local Award

Adrian was actually nominated and was a finalist this year for the St. Cloud Financial Credit Unions Changemaker award, which "seeks to highlight individuals who are making positive change and are doing great things within the community while recognizing the well-known or unsung heroes in our surrounding communities."

What Is 'Kill Tony'?

The show is actually a podcast, which is hosted by Tony Hinchcliffe. The whole show centers around a mix of amateur comedians and established comedians who get 60 seconds to show the live audience and the 'panel' what they've got.

The show has a pretty large following and has led to some young comedians making it big. Actually, a former regular on Kill Tony was just named to this upcoming season of SNL staff, the ever-popular, rock-loving Kam Patterson.
