St. Cloud NOT the Rudest City in MN – The Rudest City is…
One of my biggest flags for rude people is if they are rude to servers. Servers of any kind. They are SERVING you! Don't be rude!
WIth that said, I have heard a lot of people say that people who live here in St. Cloud are very rude. Either that, or extremely passive aggressive. Well, the latter might be true. But, according to this study, the rudest city in Minnesota is.... Minneapolis. BUT that was in 2023.

Things have changed since that study. Every year, a study comes out regarding the nicest and the rudest cities across the United States. And this year, or at least the end of 2024, showed that things have changed dramatically.
This year, the study came out and showed that Minneapolis came in at number 2 as the LEAST rude city in America. Omaha, Nebraska came in as the least rude city in all of America.
That is quite the comeback. What played into this finding?
Some of the findings had to do with rude behavior regarding cell phone usage. Speaker phone without earpods, music without earpods, just talking loudly in general in public places, general lack of awareness. This pertains to aisles while shopping. Just taking up too much room, not paying attention to others in the area you are in. In other words, behavior that tends to lead people to believe that you think you are the only person in the world.
Apparently, Minneapolis has become much better than they were the last time this ranking was reported. They went from one of the rudest cities to one of the least rude cities. You know, everything is relative. But we will take it!
Also keep in mind that it still depends on who you ask. 1 in 4 people in ANY city will tell you that the people living there are the rudest people on the planet! So there's that.
My personal feeling when I think of rude people usually has to do with driving situations. People here, in St. Cloud, mostly drive like no on else is on the road. It's annoying.
Let's see what happens next year - or the end of this year, really.
