MINNEAPOLIS (WJON News) -- Gold Star Distributing, a wholesale grocer based in Minneapolis, has issued a recall of a wide variety of products due to “rodent and avian contamination”. The company serves more than 50 stores in Minnesota, including three in St. Cloud.

A recent investigation by the Food and Drug Administration found the warehouse was operating under unsanitary conditions, including “the presence of rodent excreta, rodent urine, and bird droppings in areas where medical devices, drugs, human food, pet food, and cosmetic products were held”.
