Now that we are officially into 2026, you might want to start making plans for some of your summer activities.  Sometimes you need to plan for your PTO and anything else that may factor into your summer plans.  That includes finances, places to stay, travel. etc.

MAKE A PLAN TO HEAD TO THE STATE FAIR THE END OF AUGUST - EARLY SEPTEMBER

The Great Minnesota Get-Together is always the last 12 days leading up to Labor Day.  And this year that means August 27th  through September 7th.  Last year Labor Day was a little early compared to other years.  The first Monday of September, which is Labor Day happened to be on the first of September.  So this year, it's pushed a week.

There have been two shows that have already been announced for the Grandstand at the State Fairgrounds.

WHAT ARE THE SHOWS THAT HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

Weird Al along with Puddles Pity Party.  Puddles was on America's Got Talent a few years ago and has been performing in Vegas and also at various shows around the United States.  The last couple of years he has been touring with Weird Al. Weird Al is someone I think everyone is familiar with.  He has been performing parody songs for what seems like forever.  And from what I heard from people who attended his show at the Ledge Amphitheatre last year he is really entertaining.  Some said that they were actually surprised at how entertaining the show was.

Tickets are on sale now for this show which is scheduled for August 28th at 7pm.

$54 - $89.25 (All seats reserved)
$74 - $87.75 (Party Deck)

Rod Stewart has also been announced for the Grandstand show on Tuesday, September 1st with Richard Marx.  Tickets are on sale now for this show too.

$86 - $147.25 (All seats reserved)
$168 - $184.75 (Party Deck)

YOU CAN GET TICKETS TO THE SHOWS ABOVE NOW OR WAIT UNTIL MORE SHOWS ARE ANNOUNCED

Obviously, there will be more shows announced soon as we get closer to the state fair at the end of the summer.  We will keep you updated as we get the announcements.
