Store in Crossroads Mall in St. Cloud Recently Closed – Now Reopening
We have been hearing about quite a few stores closing in the St. Cloud area, and a lot of them have been in the Crossroads Mall. Some were because of slow traffic at the mall, or allegedly rent was too high, and some (most) were because the company itself was having financial difficulty. That is what happened with both Express and Rue 21 closures.
Walking through the mall yesterday, I noticed that Rue 21, which closed within the last couple of months, had a sign stating that they were hiring. This seems strange for a store that had closed because the parent company had filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. This was the third time, and the one that shut down the stores including the one located in Crossroads.
I stopped to ask what was happening, and if they were in fact hiring, or was it for another store that would be opening in that location.
Turns out that Rue 21 was purchased by the same company that owns Charlotte Russe and Urban Planet. It's been purchased by YM Inc. An exact reopening date has not been announced for this location.
So, if you are looking for a retail job, either full or part time, Rue 21 is hiring. They are planning to hire at least 20 people for the St. Cloud location. So, you can stop in and fill out an application. Seems like a pretty easy hiring process. The store is still vacant, and there are some opportunities for several positions available. So far they have hired around 8-10 people. That was as of this past weekend.
