Styx Is Set To Headline Lakefront Music Fest This Summer

When I was a young lad in marching band, every song we ever played basically destroyed my interest in the band that wrote it. Why you ask? Because honking on the same notes on a saxophone in the hot beating Kentucky sun for 12 hours a day 5 days a week in band camp will ruin any song for you.

That's why. There was tons of music that we played that I would have otherwise probably enjoyed if not for marching band. The band that it most ruined for me by far was Styx. Every time I hear "Come Sail Away" I instantly get a flashback to band camp and I almost have a seizure.

But just because they aren't my cup of tea doesn't mean that I don't recognize their talent. I know plenty of people who love them.
