Surly’s Darkness Day Festival Takes Place Next Weekend
If you’ve seen any of my posts of the course of the last several months, you probably know by now that I’ve recently become a die-hard fan of Surly Brewing. These guys are by far my favorite brewery around.
They offer a barrage of original beverages, all of which are absolutely phenomenal. I’ve more or less been drinking Surly exclusively since I first tried their beer. If you dig these guys as much as I do you’ll definitely want to check out Surly Darkness Day.
It’s a two day festival in Somerset, Wisconsin celebrating Surly’s famous Russian imperial stout – Darkness. The festival will be showcasing several different rock and metal bands along with beers from over 60 guest breweries.
Sounds like an awesome time to me. It takes place next weekend – Friday September 27th and Saturday the 28th. You can get your tickets online right now with general admission tickets starting at $35. They are available for purchase on Surly's website.
I didn't get to go last year and am definitely regretting it so I'm going to make the effort to make it down this year. It should be fun to check out all the bands while getting to drink the best beer on the face of the Earth,
