A potent winter storm is setting up for a potential strike across Southern Minnesota for Tuesday and Wednesday -- with blizzard conditions a distinct possibility for Rochester, Mankato, Albert Lea, and Worthington. Accumulations of 1-3" are more what we are expecting in the St. Cloud area.

A 'Blizzard Watch' is in effect for the St. Cloud area and points west for tomorrow morning through Monday morning. 2" to 4" of new snow combined with wind gusts up to 55 mph could reduce visibilities to zero. Additionally temps will drop to near -25˚ Monday morning, with wind chills approaching -50˚.
