With the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead's formation coming up in 2015, Bob Weir is urging the group's surviving founding members to put aside their differences for some sort of commemorative event.
The two incidents may be unrelated, but five days after Bob Weir collapsed onstage during his band Furthur's set in Port Chester, N.Y., the group has canceled its headlining set at the BottleRock Napa Valley Festival in Napa, Calif. They were set to perform on May 9.
Late in Furthur's performance at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. last night (April 25), former Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir collapsed onstage. The video is embedded above.
Check this out from 1993, the Grateful Dead singing the National Anthem at Candlestick Park. They did a great job or should I say "dead on". Also, check out the UFO at 2:11.
