Governor Tim Walz has launched a new COVID-19 vaccine incentive program to encourage younger Minnesotans to get vaccinated. The "Kids Deserve A Shot" incentive program is for Minnesotans 12-17-years-old and consists of two set of rewards.

U.S. health officials just endorsed booster shots of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine for some at-risk Americans.

You don't need a ticket, boarding pass or any reservation to get the shot

Central Minnesota's largest health care system has announced they will be the latest to require employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The corporation will continue requiring masks despite vaccine rollout and lifting mask mandates in several states.

There are now three COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in the United States and thousands of doses of the latest one have arrived in Minnesota.

This week on WJON's Health Matters program I talked with Dr. David Smith from Sartell Pediatrics. Our topic discussion this week was vaccines. He says the whole world is working on finding and testing a vaccine for Covid-19. Dr. Smith says because trials are happening now if everything goes as well as possible a vaccine could be available for some people in the United States by November.
