As the flu virus starts to swirl, hospitals are seeing a spike in cases. It’s a reminder to stay healthy and informed this season.

Good news (not), if you've gotten the flu this season -- you're not immune to getting it again. That's because there are different strains, and having one doesn't prevent you from getting another; and neither does the vaccine necessarily. Getting a flu shot is still recommended because it does protect to a certain degree.

Hey, wait a minute. I want my flu shot money back. (Ok, what? Oh, right I did't pay anything. Insurance covered it.) The news of the day is saying the our usual flu shot effectiveness (60%) may not be as effective this year (40%) as we had hoped. Turns out that one of the strains mutated leaving us all a bit unprotected.
