Paynesville is a small town in southwestern Stearns County with a population of 2,388 according to the last census in 2020. Paynesville is located along Highways 23, 4 and 55. Paynesville is on the Soo Line Railway and was formerly on the Great Northern Railway.

New Munich is a small town in western Stearns County just south of I94 along State Highway 237 (Main Street) and county roads 12 and 30. New Munich is also near Highway 52. The population of New Munich as of the 2020 census is 356.

Eden Valley is a small town in southwestern Stearns and northern Meeker counties in Central Minnesota. The town has a population of 1,027 as of the 2020 census. It can be found along the intersection of Highway 55 and Highway 22.

Clearwater is a town in northwestern Wright County with a small portion in Stearns County in Central Minnesota. Clearwater is located along Interstate 94 and State Highway 24.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 7-6 in overtime Friday night and fell in a shootout loss Saturday after the game was tied 1-1 after overtime.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 2-0 to #14 Michigan Friday night before skating to a 3-all tie Saturday night. The Huskies are 8-5-1 and are off until December 8-9 when they play at Omaha.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team earned a pair of 1 goal victories over the weekend against Minnesota-Duluth 2-1 Friday and 6-5 Saturday to improve to 8-4 on the season.

St. Anna is an unincorporated small town in Stearns County north of Avon and south of Holdingford in Avon township located along county roads 9 and 54.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team held their red/black scrimmage Sunday at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. The Huskies will host St. Thomas in their season opener Saturday October 7th at 6 p.m. SCSU will play at St. Thomas at 4 p.m. Sunday October 8.

The ROCORI football team defeated Willmar 24-0 this weekend.  The game started Friday night and was completed Saturday.
