Big changes are on the horizon for St. Joseph, as plans for a new community center start to take shape. It’s a project that could really bring folks together.
Adam Scepaniak took over as Mayor of St. Joseph last month after being elected in November. Scepaniak joined me on WJON. He likes the growth, vibrancy and large amount of events held in the city each year.
St. Joseph Mayor Rick Schultz isn't running for re-election but he still has some ideas on ways to improve the community. Schultz joined me on WJON. He says downtown parking has often come up as a concern among residents and visitors to St. Joseph.
The City of St. Joseph is planning a pop up splash pad for Saturday August 3 offered by the St. Joe Recreation Department and the St. Joe Fire Department. The splash pad will be from 1-3 p.m. in the field behind the city Government Center off of Callaway Street East.
Paying for parking in downtown St. Cloud has been a source of controversy. St. Joe Mayor Rick Schultz indicates he has received complaints about a lack of available parking in their downtown.
The construction on the County Road 75 bridge over the Sauk River between Waite Park/St. Cloud and St. Joseph is pushing traffic south onto Stearns County Roads 138 and 121.
The City of St. Joseph has been known for many events over the years including Joe Town Rocks, Rocktoberfest, the Millstream Arts Festival, 4th of July parade, and the St. Joe St. Patrick's Day pub crawl just to name a few.
