Updated at 7 pm on Friday 2/21 - MnDOT is still advising 'no travel' this evening and overnight tonight. Persistent blowing & drifting on top of ice covered roads continue to create hazardous driving conditions. Multiple accidents continue to plague our area. Minnesota State Patrol, "Stay safe by staying off the roads tonight."

Heavy snow is expected in the St. Cloud area today, with a Winter Storm Warning in effect through tomorrow morning. The Weather Channel makes me laugh. I'm at home with a cold today, and saw that the approaching winter storm has been named 'Celon.' I think we can do a better job, and this is our first here in Minnesota, so on behalf of The Loon I have named it Winter Storm 'AC/DC.' (You're welcome.)
