Winter Weather Advisory

A wintry mix and falling temperatures are expected across our area today, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Winter Weather Advisory in effect through Midnight tonight. Rain will mix with sleet and snow, before changing to all snow overnight.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 3 PM this afternoon for St. Cloud and the surrounding area -- for the likelihood of freezing rain and sleet, causing icy roads. Travel could become difficult and dangerous. The mixed precipitation is expected to exit our area this evening.

A Winter Weather Advisory for the St. Cloud area remains in effect through 7:00 tomorrow morning. Rain will change to snow overnight, with accumulation up to 2" by tomorrow morning. A Blizzard Warning is in effect just west of the St. Cloud Area, including Alexandria and Fergus Falls.

Looks like Old Man Winter's not done with us yet. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4Noon today through 10 pm tonight. 3-4" of snow is expected across Central Minnesota.

St. Cloud is under a Winter Weather Advisory from 9:00 this morning through Noon tomorrow, with 3" to 5" of snow expected in the area. Snow that started falling overnight, and continues this morning has made roads in central Minnesota slick, and MNDOT is calling travel 'Difficult' in the area. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow & blowing snow remains in effect until 3:00 this afternoon.

At 8:00 am this morning in St. Cloud, the temperature is officially -22˚, with a wind chill of -37.˚ Snow is in the forecast for later today, with 2-4" of accumulation expected late this afternoon through Christmas Day. Roads in St. Cloud and the surrounding areas have become very slick this afternoon. MNDOT is reporting conditions in the area as 'difficult.' A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 3am.
