ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud teenager was arrested in connection to a burglary Saturday night.

The incident happened at about 11:15 p.m. in the 2100 Block of Division Street West.

Assistant Chief Jeff Oxton says police were called to a burglary alarm at Max It Pawn. When officers arrived they found the rear glass door of the business had been broken out.

Police also spoke to a witness who described a suspect they had seen leaving the business prior to their arrival.

Officers set up a perimeter and found a 16-year-old boy a few blocks from the scene matching the suspects description. When officers approached the teen, he started to run but was later caught.

The suspect was found with both items stolen from the store and the tools used to break the glass. Police also say he had been drinking.

The suspect was placed in custody and taken to the Stearns County Jail for transfer to a juvenile detention facility.

He faces charges of second degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, minor consumption/possession of alcohol, obstructing legal process and curfew violation.
