A group of juveniles has been arrested after setting fire to a fireworks display at an Eagan, Minnesota Hy-Vee grocery store.

According to the Star Tribune, the fire was set at about 2:30 p.m. at the Hy-Vee store located about 20 minutes from Minneapolis. Firefighters were called in to extinguish the flames and no one was injured.

The Strib adds that three juveniles were arrested near the store a short time later. Hy-Vee posted to its Facebook page that it hoped to be re-opened soon.

The comments for the story are unsurprisingly divided. Half of the people seem to want to throw the three juveniles in jail for the rest of their lives, living only to pay restitution to the grocery store until the end of time.

The other half seem to accept this type of action as "boys being boys," (note: the gender of the offenders has not been released yet) and think that things like this have been happening since the beginning of time.

The damage appears to be extensive and, as with any incident involving fire and smoke, a great deal of merchandise will likely have to be tossed out because it has become unsellable.

It could have been worse I suppose. Minnesota has some of the most strict fireworks laws in the country and only allows "smaller" fireworks like sparklers, snakes and small fountains to be sold in grocery stores. A grocery store in Wisconsin could have suffered even greater hardships had an incident like this occurred in a store across the border.
