Thanksgiving is in just a couple of weeks.  I like to call it the "eating holiday" but it is also a time to just be thankful for everything in your life.  The eating part should really be a secondary thing.  But here we are - we all plan things around the food.  Who is bringing what, what are you planning to server?  Traditional or try something new.  We are actually planning an Italian Thanksgiving.  So there's that.

HEALTHY ON THANKSGIVING

If you are trying to watch your calorie intake, or if you are trying to be as healthy as possible on a day/weekend like this, you might want to check out some of the annual 5K runs around Minnesota.

TRAVELING FOR THE HOLIDAY?

Even if you don't live in some of the areas where these events are being held, maybe you are traveling, or take a short road trip to one before the big meal.  They are a lot of fun, and usually have people dressed in fun outfits, hats, etc. Even if you turn it into a fast walk, it can still be a great time while getting some exercise at the same time.

There are no events like this in the St Cloud area that I could find, but there are several within a short drive... or a long drive depending on where you are celebrating the holiday.
