The Best TV Dads Ever

If only Dad was a cool as Tim Taylor, as understanding as Ward Cleaver and as loving as Cliff Huxtable. Oh, what a wonderful world that would be. But, in reality, we know Dad is a little more like Peter Griffin, Al Bundy and Red Foreman.

A pesky Harris Interactive Poll asked; "What TV Dad Would You Want Growing Up?"  The poll showed the top three hadn't changed in several years, with Dr. Cliff Huxtable in the lead, with Beaver's old man (Ward Cleaver) and Bud's pop (Jim Anderson from Father Knows Best) for place and show.

Sure they were good dads, but let's take a look at the group as a whole. There are TV Dads that didn't even make the list! Were they just forgotten like a kid after school in the rain? Or were they just that awful that no one could bear to think of them as their own?

So I took it upon myself to review every old episode of every old sitcom ever made and compile the ultimate list of the 10 Greatest TV Dads of All Time.
