ST. CLOUD — The weekend starts off with a bang around Central Minnesota this weekend with loads of fun things to do. Grab you kids and check out the ABC Kinder Olympix, head out to St. John's to hear Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem, see the musical Godspell put on by St. John's Prep, the SCAR Dolls annual Fashion Show, and the Bellamy Brothers rocking the Medina Entertainment Center stage. Enjoy the rich history of roots music this weekend at St. John's University. Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem bring their uplift songs of hymns, blues, gospel and original compositions to life for audiences. The CSB Women's Choir will lend their beautiful harmonies to this performance as well. Tickets for the show are $25 for general admission. Show time begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Grab you kids and explore numbers and letters in a fun and creative way. The ABC Kinder Olympix comes to Whitney Recreation Center Saturday. The event is full of fun activities for improving reading skills and a healthy lifestyle with arts and crafts, obstacle course, alphabet games, inflatables, healthy snacks and more. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. until noon for children ages 6 and under. Tickets are $2 per kid and $3 per family and can be found by calling the Whitney Center at 257-5959.
St. John's Prep is holding their annual Spring musical at the Paramount Theatre this weekend. This year's show is called Godspell. The musical features of small group of people who help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling and comedic timing. Tickets for the show are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and $12 for students. The show starts tonight (Thursday) and runs through Saturday. The performance will being at 7:00 p.m.
Enjoy a night of friends, shopping and supporting a great cause. The SCAR Dolls Roller Derby Team is holding their annual Spring Thaw Fashion Show Sunday. The event consists of appetizers, desserts, and shopping at discounts to all in attendance. The event is held at the GAP Outlet store. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 6:30 p.m. for general admission. All ticket sales go towards the SCAR Dolls to help continue providing entertainment to the St. Cloud area. Tickets are $40 for VIP and $20 for general event. This is a Semi-Formal Event.
The Bellamy Brothers will be rocking the stage at the Medina Entertainment Center this weekend. Howard and David continue to prove the trail they’ve ridden to fame has been as unique as their music itself for the last 40 years. The duo will team up with special guest the Hell Country Truckers tomorrow (Friday) night. Tickets for the show are $25 and going fast. Show starts at 8:30 p.m.
