Keith Moon didn't approve it, but The Who reportedly is on board to play the London 2012 Olympics in July.

According to the UK's Daily Mirror, Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey have agreed to be a part of the closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympics in August along with a host of other British artists that the International Olympic Committee says represents the Brit-rock scene over the past 50 years. A rep for the IOC says that The Who is "an inspired throwback to the swingin' 60's."

This is not the first time that The Who has been a rumored artist for the games. Earlier this year their name was being bandied about as games organizers tried to get in contact with Keith Moon about being part of the spectacle. I hope they have a good Ouija board or an excellent medium. Keith Moon died in 1978.

I'm not even going to lie. I love the Olympics and I am BEYOND excited for the games this year. Which sport are you most excited for?
