I've never been one to be terrified of clowns but I've known people who are just absolutely terrified of them. Frankly, I just don't get it. As a kid you'd see them at many different events. I heard they had them at the circus but my dad would never take me. He always said, "When they wanted me, they'd come and get me."

Anyway, after the clown scare a few years ago it looks like they are making a return, at least in Annandale, Minnesota. According to Annandale's Facebook page, there have been a uptick in sightings in the Annandale area.

Annandale Chief of Police, Pete Standafer, says on their Facebook page that the department "is aware of this individual and we continue to monitor the situation."

The Chief also addressed some confusion about how to report clown sightings in town,  "If an actual complaint to the police is not made, it affects our ability appropriately to deal with the situation. This has been, and will continue to be, how we successfully collaborate with our citizens to keep our neighborhoods safe."

"If you have concerns about the 'clown' or any other public safety matter please as always do not hesitate to reach out to us directly," Standafer writes. "We welcome the opportunity to assist you in these matters."

Followers of the city's Facebook page pretty much have the consensus that it's just some kid messing around, better yet "clowning around."

So, I guess if you are afraid of clowns, just stay away from Annandale and if you are not afraid of clowns, ah heck even if you are, check out the move "Killer Clowns From Outer Space".  It's a classic.
