We are in the middle of August, in case you haven't checked a calendar.  It's the time of back to school for both college and grade school/high school.  Lots of people milling around big box stores picking up items that their kids need for the school year.

What I have also been seeing earlier and earlier every year is not just fall decor, but also Halloween items.  Costumes, decorations and more.  And now I notice that a giant seasonal store is also set to open this month.

Spirit Halloween.

Spirit Halloween is a pop up Halloween store that generally will show up in otherwise vacant buildings.  When I store closes, and has not yet been leased to another business, Spirit Halloween will many times show up there for the weeks leading up to the holiday.  This time, it will occupy the former Tuesday Morning location located at Division Place Fashion Center which is also where TJ MAXX is located.

This is the second time that Spirit Halloween has occupied this location in St. Cloud. It's not quite open yet... even though I do think it's a bit early for this.  That is just my opinion, however.  On the upside, when it does open you could get a jump on the costumes... plan ahead, and maybe get a costume for you and/or your kid that is fun and not just thrown together at the last minute.  I'm looking for the positives.

The sign on the door says "opening soon".  Their website just says opening in August.  As to which day in August, that hasn't been stated... at least not here.  We have 2 weeks left of the month, so one of those days, I guess.

Spirit Halloween does have a lot of unique and fun things for Halloween including not just costumes, but everything you could possibly need for putting together a Halloween party, or decking out your house and yard to greet would be trick or treaters.

If you check out their website, there is a discount coupon that you can use to save 20%.  And why not?  Save whenever possible.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
