There has been a lot in the news lately about the dangers of vaping. There are varied stories and sources, so what is really the deal?

Is all vaping dangerous?  I hear different claims on this.  Some sources say it's just the bootleg vape cartridges that are the culprit. I also hear that it's the cannabis cartridges that have causing the lung damage.

According to Center for Disease Control, this week, 530 cases have been reported and 7 confirmed deaths have been reported.

"The e-cigarette or vaping-related lung injuries we have been describing are serious," said Dr. Anne Schuchat, CDC principal deputy director, in a Thursday teleconference. "People are dying."

Officials are working hard to determine what exactly is causing the illnesses. There doesn't seem to be a common denominator in substances that appear in all cases. Many, but not all cases have been tied to the vaping of products containing THC, the psychoactive substance in cannabis. Some just contain nicotine.

What puzzles me is,people have been vaping for several years and all of a sudden all these lung damage cases start to pop up.  Hopefully, they will figure this this out. I hate to be the conspiracy guy in this, but big tobacco has a lot to gain by ending vaping.  But that's just crazy, right?
