Tornado Watch Issued for Most of Central Minnesota

UNDATED -- The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado watch for much of Central Minnesota until 2:00 a.m.

Our Tri-County area of Stearns, Benton and Sherburne are included in the watch, along with the counties of:

• Meeker
• Morrison
• Todd
• Wright
• Douglas

The National Weather Service says there is an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms through tonight for our area. A line of thunderstorms is still expected to move through Central Minnesota by 12:00 a.m. Large hail and damaging winds are expected with these storms. The weather service says a Tornado or two cannot be ruled out.
