I don't mean to cause a panic, but a totally normal and definitely not haunted doll has been reported as missing from Palmer House in Sauk Centre. According to Lisa J. Heap's Facebook post, Slappy is missing in action and no one is sure where he is at the moment.

Were you recently at The Palmer House? Did you see this guy minding his business in the hall or in the Kids Room? Did he go to your room, or jump in your suitcase? Did he follow you home? Slappy was a gift to the PH and he's missing. Help him find his way home. And if you had sticky fingers and thought he'd be a nice add to your doll collection, he won't. Please bring or send him back, no questions asked. PM me, and I'll even Venmo you postage $

Slappy, who is a character from R.L. Stine's "Goosebumps" series, has either been stolen, misplaced or walked out of the Palmer House under his own power. The first option is frustrating, the second understandable and the third terrifying.

I have seen enough of these movies to know how this works. First, a kid buys an innocent looking doll, which of course quickly becomes possessed and/or haunted. Think Child's Play or Annabelle. Chaos ensues.

I'm not saying that is the case with Slappy, but I don't think we can definitively rule it out, either.

According to Wikipedia, there are some words and phrases to avoid saying out loud around Slappy, should you encounter him:

He comes alive by these words: "Karru Marri Odonna Loma Molanu Karrano" (which roughly translates to "You and I are one now"), and they can be found on a sheet of paper in Slappy's jacket pocket. After coming in life, Slappy will try to make the person who brought him to life serve him as a slave, to the point that he will frame that person for bad things that he does.

The Palmer House is known for its paranormal activity and attracts people from around the world who are eager to experience an encounter of their own.

We have heard MANY stories from folks all around Central Minnesota who have stayed at the Palmer House over the years.

If you see Slappy around town, whether in someone's backseat or driving the car himself, please reach out to the Palmer House with his whereabouts. Until then, I will be locking my doors a little tighter.

Just to be safe.
