The Minnesota Twins (40-49) saw their five-game winning streak come to an end last night, falling to the Kansas City Royals 9-4 at Target Field.

Minnesota starter Aaron Slegers (1-1) was pounded for five runs -- recording just four outs before he was pulled in the second inning. Twins reliever Addison reed gave up three more runs in the ninth inning.
