Twins General Manager Terry Ryan Diagnosed With Cancer
Minnesota Twins general manager Terry Ryan has been diagnosed with cancer, according to a press release sent out by the Twins Monday afternoon.
Ryan was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma after team doctor Vijay Eyunni detected a lump in the 60-year-old's neck during a routine physical.
Assistant GM Rob Antony will handle day-to-day duties for the Twins while Ryan is treated.
Squamous Cell Carcinoma is typically not life-threatening, but can occasionally become aggressive. Ryan said in a statement he has been told that the cancer is treatable.
