The Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 9-7 Wednesday night at Target Field. The Twins improve to 35-33 on the season and now sit just one and a half games behind Cleveland in the American League Central division.

Ervin Santana struggled for the Twins, but was supported enough by the offense to pick up his ninth win of the season. Santana went just five innings and allowed six runs on ten hits and two walks with six strikeouts.

Miguel Sano and Kennys Vargas each hit home runs for the Twins, and Byron Buxton was 2-3 with a run batted in.

The Twins will host the White Sox again Wednesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 on our sister station AM 1240 WJON.
